e9 End of Year Timeline
e9 2016, Quarter 4 -- Graphic Design Rotation

6 Days – rough timeline 
Day 1:
·     With team – revisit logo design concepts.
·      Every team member makes 4 sketches based on 2016 Logo Trends for product's logo.
·      Get feedback

Day 2:
·      Each person in the group will use Adobe Illustrator to digitize one of their own sketches. 
Day 3:
·      Print all logos and meet to discuss which elements to use for final logo.
·      Teams decide which team members will do which parts 
(finalized logo, coupon, ad, web banner, website, other       web graphics?).

Days 4-6:
·      Team members work on the coordinated graphics listed above, and the website.

Photoshop Blog Instructions


Post all 4 Photoshop projects in a single blog. 
Use a visual from each lesson and write a summary of what you learned. Be sure to include a reflective summary that addresses the transition between Illustrator and Photoshop. 
Here are a few things to consider for the summary:
How are they alike, how are they different. Do you have a preference? What is best use of each program?

Personal Logo 



In class we studied how color, shape, and typography each play a role when delivering the core message of a brand. Blog about the color psychology, shape symbolism, and font personality associated with your personal logo. Remember to make as many personal connections as you can to these ideas so you can to start to tell your own story.

Answer should be written in complete sentences. Do not write your post as though it were a classroom assignment. Speak to your audience as if you did this as a budding Graphic Designer and are sharing your experience. This post should be at least a short paragraph (150-200 words).

Use this blog spot to brag about e-Communication program. Talk about your experience so far, as well as, Graphic Design and how we work together as a team. Use your cube as a visual along with one of yourself and an e-Comm friend.

Famous Logo Secrets Unlocked


Post the famous logos you made as a visual and discuss the underlying visual language used by industry giants. 

Some suggested points for discussion are:
Cool things you learned about Illustrator.
How the parts went together.
How you solved problems you encountered...or did you??
Color psychology, shape symbolism. and font personality :)

Font's Have Personalities Too!


Google "Anatomy of Type" to find an inspiration for your design and access the correct vocabulary. Use your name to label the 5 lines PLUS at least 10 bits and pieces of a font. 
When you are done use the links below to play at least one of the games. Your blog post should include what you learn about typography, their personalities, and 3 things that you found interesting.

Color Analysis


Think about what you learned this week and write a blog on color psychology. 
Please use your notes and handout on brand comparisons to access the correct language. Include your own thoughts and observations as a summary.
